Born behind the bar
A practical idea, developed through prototypes and hands-on testing, to remove the extra step between shaking and pouring.
Speed Tin began with founder David Quisumbing's experience behind the bar: building drinks, serving guests and repeating the same small motions throughout a shift.
The idea was to bring the strainer and pour control into the shaker, so the user could move from shaking to pouring without separating the tins or reaching for a separate strainer.
The development process moved through sketches, prototypes, 3D prints and functional models. Materials, fit and the pouring mechanism were tested and refined along the way.
The evolution photographs show the work behind the product. The goal remained practical: a shaker that fits into the way people already make cocktails.
The purpose is to make a useful tool for the people on both sides of the bar: working bartenders, bar owners, guests and home cocktail makers.
The current lineup offers two working sizes, each supplied as a complete shaker with its matching stainless steel base tin and three interchangeable grips.
